The Academic Resilience & Security Community (Academic RISC) is a network of universities formed to promote academic engagement in solving challenges in national security and resilience. Academic RiSC is recognized by the Home Office and other Government Departments as a portal to academia for this area.

The network was formed in November 2014 to address the barriers against greater academic involvement in research solving challenges in National Security. It was inspired by the success of the Security and Resilience Industry Suppliers Community (RISC), an inclusive alliance of trade associations and bodies which represent the UK’s security and resilience sector.

Academic RISC is currently chaired by Dr Annette Southgate (Cranfield University). It is an open network and new universities are welcome to join.  Please contact us at academicrisc@cranfield.ac.uk if you would like more information.
